Thought for the Week

Posted on July 5, 2010 under Thoughts for the Week.

Don’t Quit

When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,

When the road you’re trudging seems all uphill,

When the funds are low and the debts are high,

And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,

When care is pressing you down a bit

Rest if you must, but don’t you quit.

For life is queer with its twists and turns,

As every one of us sometimes learns,

And many a failure turns about,

When he might have won if he’d just stuck it out.

Success is just failure turned inside out,

The silver tint of clouds of doubt.

And you never can tell how close you are,

It may be near when it seems so far.

So stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit,

It’s when things seem worst, that you must not quit.

Sales Reminders 253-261

  • Gossip is destructive; defend the absent.
  • Spend time every day nurturing your network.
  • Asking  (good) questions gives you control.
  • Assume nothing.
  • When you are in front of a prospect, always put yourself in his ‘shoes’.
  • All play and no work does not work; when you work hard, you earn the right to play.
  • Emulate the winners, not the also rans.
  • Never handle administrative duties during prime selling time.
  • Establish an exercise routine; it’s as important to your overall well being.
  •

It’s a short week, make every day count.

Ask yourself constantly:  is what I am  doing right now, the most valuable use of my time?

Make it a great day and go out and sell something.
