Thought(s) for the Week

Posted on July 18, 2010 under Thoughts for the Week.

True leaders are not those who strive to be first, but those who are first to strive, and who give their all for the success of the team.  True leaders are first to see the need, envision the plan, and empower the team for action.  By the strength of the leader’s commitment, the power of the team is unleashed.

Be a leader; even if it isn’t in your job description.

Thoughts on Sales 269-282

  • If you think you already know it all, you will be perpetually ignorant.
  • The ways you connect with your clients may change, but the need to communicate never will.
  • Have you worked on your personal brand today?
  • The odds of you becoming an overnight success are slim and none; be persistent.
  • Do you spend so much time making things perfect that you never get anything done?  Re-think that one.
  • What is the most productive thing you can do for your career today?  Just do it (first).
  • Be passionate about what you do.
  • Take care of Nature.
  • Think like a CEO, even if you aren’t one.
  • Be grateful everyday.
  • You need to learn faster than your competitors
  • FINAL THOUGHT

Your attitude determines your actions.  You aren’t what you think you are.  What you think, you are.

Make it a great week, live simply, eat healthy, speak kindly, pay it forward, be unique, and remember:  we tend to become what the most important person in our life thinks we will become.
